Silicone-Based

Silicone-based lube is smooth, durable and does not absorb quickly into the skin. It suits intimate contact and massage when you want lasting glide from a small amount of product. Formulas such as those by Pjur often use ingredients like dimethicone and dimethiconol for a soft, even feel.

When choosing, consider texture, skin sensitivity and how you plan to use it. Silicone-based lube is compatible with latex condoms, but it should not be used with silicone toys, as it may damage their surface. For those, choose a water-based lubricant.

Apply a small amount and add more if needed. After use, wash with warm water and mild soap, as silicone formulas take longer to rinse away. If trying a new product, test it on a small patch of skin first.
