Personal Lubricants

A lubricant adds glide where extra ease is welcome. It can be used for vaginal, anal and oral sex, with condoms and with intimate toys, depending on the formula. Water-based lubes rinse off easily and work with every toy and condom.

When choosing, look at the base, thickness, scent and your skin’s sensitivity. Silicone-based lubricants last longer, but should not be used with silicone toys. Oil-based formulas and natural oils can damage latex condoms. Brands such as Pjur, System JO and Tenga offer different textures and sensations.

Apply a small amount first, then add more if needed. If your skin is easily irritated, choose an unscented formula and do a brief patch test. Clean toys after use according to their material.
